Schön. Dann sollte man aber auch klar bei dieser Linie bleiben. Und nicht sagen: "Aber mit Narkose ist ja nicht ganz so schlimm"

Sonst könnte der Eindruck entstehen, dass es eher um die Absicherung von ärztlichen Pfründen geht, die man nicht an irgendwelche "Beschneider" verlieren möchte. So empfand ich das 2012 von Teilen der an der BGM verdienenden Ärzteschaft in Deutschland.

Es geht um mehr als "Professionalität". Es geht um die Rechte von Kindern.

Ein Parlamentskandidat Stig Grenov von der KD ist für legale Jungenverstümmelung und gegen Abtreibung.
Diese Argumentation, dass man Genitalverstümmelung nicht verbieten könnte, weil "Abtreibung" erlaubt ist kam ja bei uns 2012 auch immer wieder auf. Hat mir nie eingeleuchtet.

Entweder man sieht das Embryo bzw. den Fötus als Menschen an, dann gilt das Recht auf Leben und körperliche Unversehrtheit auch für ihn. Warum soll daraus folgen, dass das Recht auf körperliche Unversehrtheit für geborene Kinder nicht gelten soll, und auch noch ausschließlich für kleine Jungen?
Oder man sieht ihn als Geschwür, Zellhaufen, Parasiten an - dann kann man beliebig darüber verfügen. Dann stehen Embryo / Fötus auf einer anderen rechtlichen Stufe als der geborene Mensch.
Dann kann man aber auch nichts aus der Behandlung des einen für den anderen folgern.

Logik ist nicht jedermanns Sache.

Und als nächstes kommt dann, "wenn man nicht-indizierte Genitalmodifikationen von Jungen nicht verbietet, dann kann man auch nicht alle nicht-indizierte Genitalmodifikationen von Mädchen verbieten"

Und dann: "wenn man nicht-indizierte Genitalteilamputationen an Kindern nicht verbietet, warum darf man nicht auch andere Sachen von ihnen abschneiden?"

Und so wird von Kinderrechten Scheibchen für Scheibchen mehr abgesäbelt.
