Naja. Ganz so pessimitisch sehe ich das nicht.Zum einen ist das mehr Geld, als in Deutschland jemals Opfer selbst der schlimmsten denkbaren medizinischen Kunstfehler erhalten würden.
Zweitens haben solche Geldstrafen auch eine gewisse abschreckende Wirkung.

Pope showed jurors the metal instrument, a Mogen clamp, which was used when the tip of the child's penis was amputated.
He added that the boy's mother was not told that his penis had been severed and nobody, including Jones and Register, suggested emergency surgery to sort the problem. -
