Trends for circumcision in the United States have declined significantly over the last several decades with reports that the current national average is less than 50%.1 The American Academy of Pediatrics Guidelines from 2012 widely endorses parents making individual choices for their child based on the medical benefits, risk of the procedure, and personal beliefs using non-biased information.2 A common reason parents choose to circumcise their newborn boy is to reduce the risk of urinary tract infections (UTI). However, given the general recommendations, the American Academy of Pediatrics does not necessarily risk-stratify children for UTI based on the configuration of their foreskin. Therefore, parents oftentimes may pursue circumcision for a medical benefit that may not apply to their child in the case of the loose/non-phimotic foreskin.
Wenn menschliche Penisbesitzer von einer Amputation der Vorhaut profitieren würden dann hätte die Evolution die Vorhaut längst eliminiert.
That's all, folks!
