I am Jewish enough that I never considered not circumcising my sons.
Zitat...even if I were not Jewish, didn’t believe in ritual, and judged only by cold, secular science.
Zitat von Hanna RosinAnyone with a heart would agree that the Jewish bris is a barbaric event. Grown-ups sit chatting politely, wiping the cream cheese off their lips, while some religious guy with minimal medical training prepares to slice up a newborn’s penis. The helpless thing wakes up from a womb-slumber howling with pain.
Zitateven if I were not Jewish
Also Barbarei, Gefährdung und Schmerz für was?
"Anyone with a heart" - hat Rosin kein Herz, oder was will sie damit sagen?
Zitat von RosinDaniel Halperin, an AIDS expert at the Harvard School of Public Health, has compared various countries, and the patterns are obvious. In a study of 28 nations, he found that low circumcision rates (fewer than 20 percent) match up with high HIV rates, and vice versa.
Daniel Halperin, Muahahaha!
Zitat von RosinA team of researchers from the CDC and Johns Hopkins analyzed records of over 26,000 heterosexual African-American men who showed up at a Baltimore clinic for HIV testing and denied any drug use or homosexual contact. Among those with known HIV exposure, the ones who did turn out to be HIV-positive were twice as likely to be uncircumcised.
"CDC and Johns Hopkins" - die einschlägig bekannten BGM-Promoter.
ZitatThe results of the study were recently reported in The Journal of Urology
under the title, “Circumcision and Risk of HIV Among Males from
Ontario, Canada.” Researchers with the University of Toronto urology and
pediatrics departments looked at the experiences of nearly 570,000 men in the Canadian province.
Of the 203,588 who were circumcised, 0.0002505% contracted HIV. Of the
366,362 men who were not circumcised, 0.0002484 contracted HIV.
Zitat von RosinEdgar Schoen, now a professor emeritus of pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco, has been pushing the pro-circumcision case since 1989, when he chaired an American Academy of Pediatrics Task Force on the practice.
Oh ja, Edgar Schoen - der fehlte noch! Und Schoen hatte gar keinen "conflict of interests"?

Lose the Foreskin!
Na, dann frau ran! Auch Frauen haben eine! Die ist sogar viel kleiner.
The problem with all this "controversy" is that Medicaid now doesn't pay for the procedure, which costs all of $300 in most hospitals.
The New York Times reports today on new findings that circumcision rates have declined precipitously in the United States, from 56 percent in 2006 to 32.5 percent last year. That’s a phenomenal decline in just three years.
Ein Grund zur Freude! Werden mehr Jungen heil und ganz gelassen!
Zitat von RosinAnti-circumcision activists have convinced us that circumcision is harmful and dangerous and does a lifetime of damage.
Umgekehrt wird ein Schuh daraus: Pro-Circumcision activists are since centuries trying to convince parents that genital mutilation ist beneficial and does no harm.
The Overprotected Kid
ZitatHowever, shefollows this up with an acknowledgment that the feeling quickly dissipated once her sons were completely healed
Wie, deren Vorhäute sind wieder nachgewachsen? Ein Wunder, ein Wunder! ![]()

It’s perfectly clear that on a grand public-health level, the more boys who get circumcised, the better it is for everyone.
ZitatThese days, in certain newly enlightened circles on the East and West Coasts, it puts you in league with Josef Mengele.
