As always, the answer to offensive speech is more speech, not censorship.
Brandeis could have avoided an embarassing episode by following Columbia’s lead.
Silencing those with whom we disagree does nothing to further our understanding of the world.

Ich bin ein großer Bewunder dieser mutigen Frau. In ihrem ersten Buch habe ich erstmalig etwas über Knabenbeschneidung gelesen. Nach meiner Erinnerung hat Ayaan diese ebenso abgelehnt wie die Beschneidung der Frauen. Es überrascht mich daher nicht sehr, dass die Brandeis Universität ihr den Preis nicht verleihen will.
