The mean operative time was 24 minutes (range 15–43). Outpatient follow-up checks were scheduled at 1 and 2 weeks, and 1, 6, and 12 months after surgery. At the 12-month follow-up, all but one patient (97.6%) were able to retract the prepuce. Cosmetic and functional results were satisfactory in all patients. In a selected group of children with phimosis, “trident” preputial plasty provides excellent cosmetic and functional results.
