Here's
a bit of background that I do not want to prioritize time, mood and
effort to refute Morris ' gimmicks in a scientific article. The fight
for the boys ' rights must be won on better arguments and not by a
time-wasting fluekneppergennemgang of every one of Morris ' countless
violations of generally accepted scientific principles. Regardless of
what the science says, will the day hopefully soon come when Danish
politicians as the first in the world to give boys and girls the same
right to protection against abuse and the same right to both bodily and
sexual integrity. There needed no science, just common sense and respect
for basic human rights.
Back to the phenomenon of Brian j.
Morris. Bite firmly in the name, for he will entertain us all to his
dying day, with its predictable writings about boys omskærings
blessings. Our Danish study from 2011, documenting the exact opposite of
what Morris alleges, was published in a scientific journal, the
International Journal of Epidemiology that after international
yardstick, at least as ' fine ' as the American periodical, the Journal
of Sexual Medicine, where Morris got his latest nonsense published in
august 2013. Our study went around the world in every conceivable
language in 2011, but not many heard about Morris ' latest
"meta-analysis" from this summer. Morris must have pressed for a
journalist to bite on the story now 3-4 months later when the fully
justified has been ignored-at least in the European part of world
press-in the intervening period.
With this bizarre story and
heavily contributing to my lack of desire to use the forces of good on
an infight with miscellaneous magazine editorial boards to reject Morris
' nonsense-hear that our excellent Danish study from 2011 were actually
judged-and rejected-in record time of the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
The editor, who called Goldstein to surname-curiously just as the Jewish
doctor who has given its name to the world's most successful preputial
squashing, The Gomco Clamp-patterned a small army of his journal
reviewers, for less than three weeks to South shoot our Studio as the
pure botch. Usually takes the kind of scientific assessments at least a
few months.
It is kind of funny-albeit on the tragicomic
way-to our article met so massive opposition from the Journal of Sexual
Medicine. Editor for the same year was deliriously excited Goldstein for
two other articles from our research group based on identical data, and
these also referred to sexual problems in the Danish population. These
two other articles accepted Goldstein with words of praise accompanying
comments, and he chose even pressing them back-to-back over 27 printed
pages in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
When I get months
later offered Goldstein to publish our worrisome findings on male
omskærings unfortunate significance for both the men's and women's
seksualfunktion, it couldn't go fast enough to mobilize the troops and
get rejected reviewer our Studio. Of the criticism indicated that the
data were of a poor quality and that our findings concerning
circumcision as a result was unreliable. Forgotten was complete the
jubilation, as both editor and reviewers at the journal had expressed to
our previous two publications based on the same data. The shift from
jubilant acceptance to head-shaking denial was apparently the editor and
reviewers annoying detail that we had included a single new variable in
our latest article: circumcision.
So to my Facebook friend, I
have enough disappointing declare that I unfortunately don't have the
time, ability or priority to refute Morris ' pseudo-scientific petty
squabbles in the form of a scientific article in the same journal. He
has for many American editors without Foreskin on its side. It took me 7
attempts (sic!) and over one and a half years (sic!) with various
journals-including a failed attempt at the Journal of Sexual
Medicine-before it, to my great and joyful surprise managed to get
through the eye of the needle with the ' finest ' epidemiological
journal, International Journal of Epidemiology. Even after Morris had
suffered the indignity of being totally repudiated as reviewer of our
article in this magazine. This long story about Morris ' complete
disregard for the scientific process have I published in my reply (http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3…gY8oVrKmKfA&s=1) on the foreseeable protest letter (http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3…vFmKJIbGTHg&s=1),
as the forsmåede Brian j. Morris sent to the editor of the
International Journal of Epidemiology, when he discovered that his smear
campaign against me and our Studio had been in vainand our studies
results had been published and drove around the globe in the summer of
2011.
One day when I retire, I have to find the energy to write
the whole story about Morris and his cronies in the international
omskærings lobby. Instead of wasting time and gunpowder now on to
castigate their mono mane science parodies I prefer-ad science road
illuminate some of the entrenched dogmas about boys omskærings
health-related benefits, which is probably a after a fall to the ground,
when we examine them critically. I think this is a better use of my
strength.
It is, of course, tåkrummende embarrassment every
time a new post from Morris and his monstrous spirit companions
appearing, preputial obscures the debate and are impeding the
introduction of common sense and ordinary human thinking when it comes
to boys ' right to their own body and sexuality. But I am still an
optimist. When new HIV data from Africa in a few years start to clamber,
documenting the hoax, as the whole omskærings campaign South of the
Sahara is, by all accounts, so it will go fast. At that time, al health
reasoned support for circumcision quickly canceled, and back will only
stand Morris and the most blinkered religious groups. And then Morris '
spasmodic attempts to get down all the boys on omskærings couch appear
so grotesque, that future generations will think that the story about
him was a lie.
