    • Ahmad admitted that he failed to provide families with the medical reasons for circumcisions, did not obtain their consent, and did not document discussions about risks or surgical complications.
      Instead of using a surgical facility for the circumcisions, he elected to perform the procedures at his office. He did not have medicine to give the babies proper pain control nor did he have the equipment to manage complications.
      Due to his faulty equipment, lack of sutures, and years of not practicing the procedure, the doctor’s results were horrific. Multiple families ended up in local emergency departments with children with infections, arterial bleeds, and hacked up penis tissue.
      During these trips, Ahmad instructed the families to lie about who performed the circumcisions. Ahmad denied involvement to doctors at the hospital. Instead, he told doctors the parents brought the babies to him after a community member performed the procedure.

      A doctor at the hospital became worried after seeing multiple patients and reported him to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.When the CPSM learned of Ahmad’s circumcisions, they requested records for the patients. However, Ahmad failed to keep any records for the surgical mishaps. When he could not meet their request, Ahmad created reports months after the procedures.Through an electronic analysis, the CPSM determined he entered the records several months following the circumcisions.

    • Zu wünschen ist freilich, dass in der Presse nicht nur die "verpfuschten" (botched) Beschneidungen des Ejaz Ahmad bedauert und angeprangert werden würden, sondern jede Beschneidung (die medizinisch unnötige, nur über diese reden wir hier) unter Jungen in Kanada - Junge ist männliches Kind unter 18 Jahre.

      Ejaz Ahmad bot seine Dienstleistung vor allem den Pandschabi sprechenden Einwanderern und ihren Nachkommen an, den kanadischen Muslimen. Die wiederum halten sich einstweilen literalistisch (wortwörtlich) an Sure ("Folge der Religion Abrahams, eines Hanifen", "er war kein Heide" (vgl. Koran 16:120–123)) und Hadith ("zur Fitra [zu einem Leben in Übereinstimmung mit der Geschöpflichkeit] gehören fünf Dinge: die Beschneidung, ..."), anders gesagt sie folgen Koran und Sunna.

      Diese männliche Beschneidung ist authentischer Islam. Die Details der Begründung im Fatwa müssen einen Intaktivisten dabei nicht so sehr interessieren (das Gebet eines unbeschnittenen männlichen Erwachsenen ist vor Allah nicht gültig; die Umkreisung der Kaaba ist unbeschnitten nicht gültig; o. dgl.).

      Erstens
      Die Leute in Winnipeg, Manitoba folgen den die Zirkumzision - praktisch, de facto - zur Religionspflicht erklärenden Vorgaben des Islam und Dr. Ahmad gab ihnen bekannt, dass er (wieder) beschneidet (ggf. wurde er gebeten, nach neun Jahren Pause wieder zu beschneiden wie früher).
      Zweitens
      Hoffentlich werden sich der Gedanke und die Lebenspraxis des Intaktivismus bei allen Kanadiern so rasch wie möglich verbreiten, also auch bei Kanadas Muslimen.

      Im Jahr 2015 war Bhimji noch aktiv für die Children’s Health & Human Rights Partnership (CHHRP). Kritisch anzumerken wäre allenfalls, dass er (und ggf. auch die CHHRP) Jungen im Grundschulalter sowie männliche Jugendliche nicht bedingungslos intakt lassen wollte ("be deferred to a time where (...) the child is old enough to choose and consent for himself"). Man sollte betonen: ein "Kind" (child) ist nie "alt genug, um auszuwählen und [in die rituelle Zirkumzision] einzuwilligen". Zwar ist in Nordamerika seit Generationen die Beschneidung der männlichen Neugeborenen das große Problem, aber m. E. muss man jeden Menschen vor einer unnötigen Genitaloperation schützen, der noch kein Volljähriger (adult) ist.

Brady (saß zeitweise in der American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Task Force on Circumcision) lese ich den schönen Satz: " Opponents of circumcision recommend that any decision about male circumcision be deferred until age 18 years. This deferral would allow the male to participate in the decision making process. " - dem es nichts hinzuzufügen gibt.
