As I see it, it goes against the [UN’s] Convention on the Rights of the Child to circumcise children
In Dänemark ist die Stimmung in der Bevölkerung wohl noch eindeutiger als bei uns. Gut so!In a survey of over 1,000 Danes conducted by YouGov for Metroxpress
newspaper, 74 percent of respondents wanted a full or partial ban on the
practice while just ten percent supported giving parents the right to
circumcise their sons.
Wo sind unsere Politiker mit so viel Einsicht? We will handle this topic politically within a few years. As I see it,
it goes against the [UN’s] Convention on the Rights of the Child to
circumcise children.

...that there was neither enough risk to justify outlawing circumcision
Following intense debate in 2012, Germany passed a law allowing religious circumcision.

Three Quarters of Danes Back 'Anti-Semitic' Ban on Male Circumcision
Tanya Gold, writing for the Guardian’s Comment is Free Section asked “Is this an attempt to achieve with paper what other methods could not – the removal of Jews from Europe?
The Politiken daily quoted Smith as saying that while there is insufficient evidence to justify recommending the practice, the risks do not give rise to any recommendation to ban it, either.
Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, president of the European Conference of Presidents, who visited Denmark last month, told JTA that activists against non-medical circumcision of boys, or brit milah, as it is called in Hebrew, plan to focus their lobbying efforts on Denmark.
„Denn das ist es, worüber wir hier reden: eine Prozedur, die negative Folgen für Gesundheit und Sexualität hat. (For det er jo det, som vi taler om her – et indgreb, som har negative konsekvenser for både sundhed og seksualitet).“
The Jewish community has set up a task force to inform Danish politicians and others on the matter.
“The tactic among those who oppose non-medical male circumcision is to convince more and more MPs that it is wrong, in the hope that a proposition for an outright ban will be put forward in parliament. So far there has been no such proposition and our job is to see to it that it doesn’t happen,” Mr Rosenberg Asmussen said.
Dan Rosenberg Asmussen, chairman of the country's Jewish Community, said the local media was "filled with misinformation about circumcision and its effects".
