    • This is exactly why most people don't know about babies dying from circumcision. They almost always blame it on something else and get away with it. This baby lost consciousness during his circumcision, turned blue, and had to be resuscitated (and DIED the next day). However, they say he died from a pre-existing condition. If not for the internet and people trying so hard to bring light to this, we wouldn't even know about it. This child MAY have had a pre-existing condition. This child MAY have even died SOMEDAY from his pre-existing condition. BUT, if this child lost consciousness DURING his circumcision and his heart stopped beating DURING his circumcision, then this child died from CIRCUMCISION...unnecessarily, completely avoidable. Most parents are not aware that death is a real risk of this practice, and that it is NOT as "rare" as they make it out to seem. Some parents don't even know there is a risk of death at all.

      Kathy Combs, Louisville (Kentucky), USA

Ach so?

      Victor Schiering

Authorities are claiming the circumcision was not related to the child's death, even though he was found blue and unconscious only a half hour after this profoundly painful procedure. We're not buying it. Rest in peace little one.

      The WHOLE Network, USA

    • Nothing to see here folks! A baby dying from circumcision is no big deal, happens somewhere on planet Earth everyday. The amputation of his foreskin was "performed flawlessly." Don't criticize the writer of this piece, he's doing his best along with everyone else to keep this "rite" sugar-coated. Babies choke to death while feeding all the time…right?

See, another baby who almost died from circumcision a week ago is now "stable."

"The mohel followed procedure and performed a test on the baby after the rite."

"Both Chief Rabbis and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel expressed their sorrow to the mourning family."

Nothing to see here folks…move along!

      James Loewen, Kanada

The fact that he started having breathing problems and started bleeding through his nose and mouth had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he was ritually circumcised just minutes before.

      ~Joseph Lewis
